VELA

Roles: Community Connector • Regional Connector • Director of Mentoring Program

We supported the growth and national expansion of VELA’s Community Connector program—serving as both a mentor and a strategist.

  • Designed and led a pilot mentorship program to support early-stage educational entrepreneurs.

  • Coached founders and connectors across multiple regions, including Wichita, Kansas.

  • Helped plan and facilitate regional site visits and national convenings to strengthen community ties among education innovators.

Kansas Policy Institute

Role: Consultant

Partnering with KPI, we raised awareness of innovative education models and school choice policy through storytelling, convening, and collaboration.

  • Curated and delivered monthly feature stories on educational entrepreneurs and emerging trends.

  • Led site visits and designed events like the Innovative Education Summit to spotlight local innovation.

  • Facilitated dialogue between homeschool leaders, microschool founders, and policymakers to strengthen policy understanding and advocacy.

  • Produced webinars on timely topics including homeschool sports access and legislative updates.

Soaring Education Services

Role: Program Manager

As Program Manager, we helped shape the growth and long-term vision of a rapidly expanding mentoring initiative.

  • Developed organizational strategy, growth plans, and operational frameworks.

  • Led outreach and partnership-building to expand brand visibility and impact.

  • Oversaw the design and implementation of the Soaring-Ready Mentor Collective, including recruitment, engagement, and sustainability planning.

Heartland Christian Ministries Association (HERO Project)

Role: Project Manager & Strategy Consultant

Through the HERO initiative, we supported the launch and scaling of an ambitious network for faith-based educational options.

  • Managed program operations, including development, evaluation, and reporting.

  • Spearheaded outreach, recruitment, and event planning to engage churches, schools, and community partners.

  • Led fundraising and donor engagement efforts to ensure long-term program sustainability.
